Water System:
  • First installed in 1890
  • Used own wells until 2005
  • Plant is Iron removal, ion exchange softening, Tonka design 2000.
  • Village is replacing several old section of water line this year and next
  • Kennebec reservoir has 515,000 gallons
  • Hawk has 200,000 gallons
  • Kennebec standpipe has 260,000 gallons
  • The Village of McConnelsville purchases water from the Village of Malta.
  • McConnelsville in turn sells water to the Morgan-Meigsville Water Authority.
The Village of McConnelsville Waste Water Treatment Plant:
  • Built in 1968 by both Malta and McConnelsville
  • Average flow is 400,000 per day annually
  • 4 lift stations
  • A partially combine storm and sanitary sewer system
  • The plant is a contact stabilization activated sludge system

The Village of McConnelsville Street Department is responsible for the following:

•        Installation and repairs of City owned signs and properties
•        Snow removal and street sweeping
•        Mowing of Village property
•        Purchase of equipment and materials
•        Maintenance, repair, inspection, and replacement of all water and wastewater lines.
